Milan Fashion Week - "Tribute to Fashion"

It's thirsty work visiting fashion show after fashion show, but we doubt anyone could drink through a Coca Cola bottle this big, as seen at Milan Fashion Week.

The colourful designs are all part of Coca Cola Light's 'Tribute to Fashion' charity project to raise money following the devastating earthquake in Abruzzo last year.

Coca Cola asked some of the best Italian designers to put their stamp on its limited edition bottle, including Moschino, Donatella Versace, Angela Missoni, Alberto Ferreti, Consuelo Castiglioni and Etro, who showcased their creations at the Milano Fashion Centre this week.

The new designs will go on sale in the Italian city from 25 September with profits from sales helping young women from the Abruzzo area to find scholarships

"Italian fashion designers Donatella Versace, Alberta Ferretti, Anna Molinari for Blumarine, Veronica Etro, Silvia Venturini for Fendi, Consuelo Castiglioni for Marni, Angela Missoni and Rossella Jardini for Moschino, have teamed with Coca Cola for fund raising campaign in support of the victims of the earthquake in Abruzzo, Italy.

These famous fashion designers have dressed with fantasy and colors Coca-Cola light’s bottle and have sold them at auction during the “Tribute to Fashion” show in Milan. Eight fashion designers, only women, have done a great work with Coca Cola bottle, because every packaging has a strong personality and represent very well brand values as happiness or joy of life, of course always in a chic and exclusive way."

Limited edition bottle designs for Coca-Cola were recently spotlighted at Milan Fashion Week. Famous Italian fashion designers such as Donatella Versace and Alberta Ferretti each stamped their signature style on the designs, which can be seen in the video created for Milan Fashion Week above or on the packaging design blog TheDieline.com.

Coca-Cola commissioned the limited edition designs for its "Tribute to Fashion" fundraiser. Profits from the sell of the limited edition bottles of Coca-Cola Light will fund scholarships for young women affected by the April earthquake that killed 229 people and left thousands homeless in Abruzzio, Italy.

Interested in getting your own designer bottle of Coca-Cola Light? Then you better hurry up and book your airline ticket for Milan now! The limited edition bottles are currently only being sold in the fashion epicenter.

Coke on the Runway? Yeah, you never see it but you know what’s happening backstage. Oh, wait, Coca Cola?!? Yeah, I guess that makes more sense.

It’s Fashion Week in Milan, Italy and yesterday instead of models with hour-glass figures, the models were shaped like Coke bottles. That’s because they WERE Coke bottles…

Coca-Cola Italy, in collaboration with The Abruzzo Charity Project enlisted 8 female designers to design sleeves for a limited amount of “Coca-Cola Light” bottles (Italy’s version of Diet Coke) to be available starting September 25th. Donatella Versace, Alberta Ferretti, Anna Molinari from Blumarine, Veronica Etro, Silvia Venturini Fendi, Marni’s Consuelo Castiglioni, Angela Missoni and Rossella Jardini at Moschino were the designers asked to participate, they said yes and the result is fabulous.

The proceeds will be used by The Abruzzo Charity Project to help people/families affect by the devastating earthquake last year.

They kicked off the project at Fashion Week on Friday by showing the designs on the runway in the form of Coke bottles walking the runway…great idea.

Coca-Cola asked fashion designers to redesign a limited-edition bottle in an effort to raise money following last year’s devastating earthquake in Abruzzo, Italy. Italian designers including Marni, Moschino, Ferreti, Versace, and Etro showcased their creations at a fashion show in Milan.

The colorful designs are all part of Coca Cola Light’s ‘Tribute to Fashion’ charity project in Italy.

Milan residents can buy Coke Light in these bottles now with profits funding scholarships for young women affected by the earthquake.
